Below are the safety guidelines and sanitary practices that we are implementing to ensure a safe environment for all students and teachers.
- A carpool drop off system (like our school year) will be used for morning drop off and afternoon pickup.
- Staff and students will have their temperatures taken upon arrival every morning using a touch less, approved thermometer. Staff and students will a fever of 99.5 will not be permitted to enter the facility and will be asked to go home. They may return with a doctor’s note once they have been fever free for over 24 hours without medicine.
- Restrooms will be cleaned every 30 minutes and after every student uses the facility (much like a restaurant restroom system)
- Students will not leave the facility for field trips in order to provide and maintain a clean and safe environment
- Water play will be put on hold in order to ensure proper social distancing
- Staff and students may wear facemasks as deemed appropriate for their ages and parental preference
- Students will have their own supply box to eliminate shared materials
- Groups will be made up of 9 people or less (including a licensed, and approved ACE staff member)
- Groups will utilize the playground at separate times, eat snack and lunch in their base room
- Classrooms, supplies, toys, etc. will be cleaned and sanitized, multiple times a day
- Proper hand washing, hand sanitizing, etc. will be taught and maintained by staff, students, etc.
- Screen time will be limited (we all know our kids have been on “screens” in various forms a lot these past weeks...their bodies and brains need a break)
In summary, Ace will continue to go above and beyond to provide a safe, healthy, loving, learning environment for all students this summer. The health and safety of our ACE community is our number one priority.
