Fall Family FunSpending quality time together as a family is so important. Did you know it can even help kids do better at school? Now that Fall is upon us there are so many farms and orchards to explore while enjoying the cooler weather.
Here is a list of our favorites.
Temple Hall Farm - Leesburg, VAThis is a great farm to explore. The kids will enjoy the huge jumping pillows as well as the animals. Entry fee is $10 and that includes a wagon ride to the pumpkin patch and a pumpkin to take home with you.
Stibling Orchard – Markham, VAPack a picnic and visit the Stribling Orchard and its breathtaking views of the Blue Ridge Mountains. They have all kinds of apples available to pick as well as baked goods and beef products to purchase.
Great Country Farms – Bluemont, VA
Fun for the whole family. This farm has it all, slides, wagon rides, mini golf, great food, a corn maze, animals and huge jumping pillows. Plus, you can pick your own pumpkins for an additional fee. Busy this month? Go in November and you can send your own jack-o-lanterns flying on select Pumpkin Chunkin days!
Hollin Farms – Delaplane, VA
If apples and pumpkins aren’t your thing, how about pick your own fruits and vegetables as well as dig your own peanuts and potatoes? Kids will love the corn maze.
Cox Farms – Centreville, VA
There’s no picking at this farm but there is so much to do that you can easily spend a whole day at Cox Farms. Slides, animals, rope swings, a corn maze, live music, and a 20 minute hayride are just a few of the things this farm has to offer. Cox Farms also offers a variety of food to purchase from BBQ to caramel apples. Don’t forget to pick up your free small pumpkin before you leave!
